Joe,

I'd love to see the picture. Why don't you post it someplace we can view it. It's nothing but jibberish in this content.

<snip>

Sorry to be a spoil sport with my first posting here, my ISP has only just added this ng to the available list. MIME encoded images should not be posted here and are specifically mentioned in the charter for this ng.

The reason for this is twofold. Firstly, the size of the file containing the image is as big as several hundred text messages and takes as long to download. Secondly, even after receiving the file not everyone has software capable of decoding and displaying the image - these people will only see the gibberish refered to by another poster.

If you or anyone else has a picture which they feel will be of interest to others, then a posting to describe it with an invitation to request it via email would be one solution. Alternatively, post it to one of the binary ng's dedicated to pictures and then do a short text posting here to say where it can be found.

Hope this helps.

Non-text (i.e. encoded-binary) files do not belong in a non-binaries group and are automatically eligible for cancellation. Please learn how to be a good USENET citizen by reading the newsgroups <URL:news:news.announce.newusers> and <URL:news:news.newusers.questions>.
