Hi,

My name is John Eriksson and I'm about to design a game where the player is a hot air baloon pilot.

I havn't decided yet on how realistic the game will be, but my aim is to have it atleast 'somewhat realistic'.

I have searched through the net and found some information about why the hot air ballon can lift... but I havn't found any information on how to use diffrent air layers (correct term?) to steer (or at least try to get in the wanted direction).

Can anyone here help me or point out some good information source on the net.

It would also be nice to get other tips and ideas on how to make this game get the right feeling?

Best Regards /John Eriksson

You could try finding a copy of the following book

The Ballooning Manual by Bob and Carol Howes. published by Airlife Publishing Ltd, 101 Longden Road Shrewsbury Shropshire, UK SY3 9EB

Hope this helps Ian
