Is it real

Does anyone know if the Claritin balloon in the commercial is a real balloon or is it just computer enhanced on another balloon. Whenever the commercial comes on there is a split opinion in our house.

It's real. The green grass in the ad was fake.

It was flying at ABQ this year. It is a Firefly with the Claritin logo. The rest of the commercial is probably computer enhanced.

Gang, The Claritin balloon contract was sold by Tom Rush and is currently piloted by a team consisting of Tom Rush, Bob Mueller, George Russell. The TV commercials are real with heavy computer aided touch-up. The balloon, with logos, is a real live flying Balloon Works. The team has a heavy event schedule and tours the US regularly. I trained on a firefly and now I fly an Aerostar/Raven. My guess is you are a Cameron Fan. Oh well not everyone knows how good the firefly's are.

Or computer DEhanced - every time I see that ad I get the feeling that something isn't right about the balloon image or its movement - it seems like it hangs out of plumb as it travels horizontally, but without swinging naturally (like a pendulum).

Perhaps some non-ballooning advert folks tried to 'enhance' some footage, but just made it look unnatural - or perhaps the footage was shot from an odd angle, or the lighting angles don't match on the balloon and the rest of the composite - I haven't happened or bothered to catch the ad on tape to try to figure it out.

are the pilots different than they were at the Dogwood event in Atlanta? I met the pilot there... saw you in the sky in ABQ; pretty balloon....in fact have a koozie!
