Is it possible for a hot air balloon with line handlers to have been the method for lifting and placing the huge stone blocks used to erect the pyramids? I don't know anything about hot air balloon lifting characteristics but I can tell you the pyramid blocs weighed in the range of 1 to 2 tons (2,000 - 4,000 pounds). You fellows that are familiar with balloons -- what about it? Could it be done?
