I am trying to plan a honeymoon for my fiance and myself, and am trying to arrange a ride on the Saturday or Sunday of the Albuquerque International Balooning Festival. I have put my feelers out to rainbow riders but think that we would prefer a more personal touch. Please give me a buzz if you have room for two more people, or know of someone I could contact. Only the official ride operator is authorized to launch from Fiesta field with paid riders. The registered pilots are prohibited from flying paid rides from the field. Other ride operators typically fly from the west mesa. Last year an uninsured ride operator struck a power line on the Kirtland AFB with one fatality and multiple injuries. That ride operator was not associated with Fiesta.
