Several of you wrote to me in response to my posting regarding Albuquerque's Balloon Fiesta. I still haven't made up my mind (and I apologize for not replying to each of you individually, but I worked eleven days straight and was rather drain bramaged<G>.... but your responses gave me another idea.

My only experience, so far, with ballooning has been one visit to the New Jersey Festival of Ballooning, at Solberg. At that time, I was working in that area and went after work with some coworkers. I no longer work there and haven't had any luck getting anyone to go with me the last couple of years.

What several of you suggested is that I try to get myself on a list of potential volunteers and it occurred to me that maybe it would be more prudent to try that 'here', rather than 'there' the first time.

So, I was wondering if any of you knew any more than what I've been able to glean from this web site http://www.balloonfestival.com/nj.html about such things... any specific ways to go about making contacts.

Thanks!

George,

I took your advise and subscribed.... but one question... uk in the address, does that mean that the Reflector is in the UK? what is the percentage (roughly) of subscribers in the US on the list if that's the case?

Once again, thank you George.

As a result of getting on the mailing list, I followed a link and discovered the Greater Eastern Balloon Association. Eventually I will contact them and they may well turn out to be my local source of information and certainly a conduit to involvement.
