Hi

i'm fascinating with the balloon stratospheric flights of the fifties (projects Man High, Strato Lab, Excelsior...) and the adventures of David Simons, Joe Kittinger, Ross and Prather and so on...

I'm looking for photos, reproductions of drawings (technical or not, even for children books) , or all graphical material about pre-astronauts and their gondolas, url of sites about this subject, brochures...

PS : i know the existence of the book 'the pre-astronauts', but it lacks with illustrations sadly

You may also be interested in Craig Ryan's new book: MAGNIFICENT FAILURE. It chronicles the Piantanida flights (poorly reported elsewhere), and is quite well illustrated.
