Lift is equal to 'the weight of the fluid displaced'. The balloon has to lift itself, including the weight of the gas in it. Air has an average molecular weight of 29 grams. So 1 mole, 6.023*10^23 molecules weighs 29 grams at STP. PV=nRT will allow you to convert to other Temperatures and volumes.
