Wright-Patterson Balloon Pictures

Hello

I'm not a balloon enthusiast, per se, but I took some pictures out at the Clebration of Flight Festival that we had here at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, and I thought you folks might enjoy looking at them. I had a total blast taking them and talking with the balloonists - very friendly and kind people! Here's the link:

THANKS for sharing those!! I was BORN at Wright Pat AFB in 1970. my dad was stationed there at that time. I have also been a balloon pilot since 1986. I have MANY of my pics on WEBSHOTS.COM if you are interested in checking them out. Just go there and search for the term BALLOON, or look for my user name MAXWELL679.

Also thanks for the part about the balloonists being nice people. As a group we tend to be I think. We are all good friends pretty much, with a few minor exceptions. Even those are minor. Even at the most competitive meets, I think you will find one balloonist lending his fan to another whose just quit etc. We always eat and party together before and after the flights. Just how we are.
